What is a token?

Tokens are the units used to process text. On average, 1 token equals about 4 characters. A typical single-page invoice uses ~2K tokens, a multi-page contract ~5K tokens, and a detailed report ~10K tokens.

What's the difference between tiers?

Free gives you 5 extractions per day to explore the platform. Starter has a hard monthly cap of 6M tokens and best-effort processing — it's designed for prototyping. Growth removes the cap, adds priority processing and budget controls — it's built for production. Enterprise adds SLAs, dedicated support, and compliance features.

When should I upgrade from Free?

When you need more than 5 extractions per day or want to process documents at scale. Starter gives you up to 6M tokens per month with no daily limit.

How does billing work?

Starter tier is a flat €10/month subscription with up to 6M tokens included. Growth tier uses usage-based billing — we track your token usage throughout the month and charge €2 per 1M tokens. Add a payment method in your account settings to enable billing.

What counts toward token usage?

Token usage includes the document content being processed, your JSON schema definition, and the extracted results. All of these are counted toward your monthly usage.

Can I set a spending limit?

Yes. You can set a monthly budget in your account settings. We notify you when you reach your configured threshold (default 80%) and again if you exceed your budget. Available on Growth and Enterprise tiers.

What file formats are supported?

We support PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, images (PNG, JPG), and more. Scanned documents and images are automatically processed with OCR to extract text.
